It is vital that clinicians are able to safely and appropriately assess children in person, it is also a requirement of Medicare that a child be present in order for the practice to submit a claim to Medicare, on the child’s behalf. Therefore, if you are booking an appointment for a child, the child MUST be present at the appointment.
If imaging has been carried out on the child, but it is was done out of area, please bring a copy of the images with you, otherwise this may delay diagnosis and treatment.
